The story of Holi

Holi is a festival of colors. It is celebrated by the whole country and other neighboring countries too. It is celebrated to mark the end of “HOLIKA”, who was the sister of another evil man Hiriyanakashyapa who was the father of Prahalad who was a big devotee of Lord Vishnu. His father was a king and he never allowed Prahalad to pray and instead asked him to be his devotee. He tried to kill his son many ways like the following:-

1. He kept his son in a locked room where lots of snakes were kept but as he was a devotee of Vishnu snakes did not even touched him.

2. He kept him with many bad people so that he can die but again he was saved.

3. He kept him with  Holika who was immortal even if she sits on a fire but nothing happened to Prahalada but Holika was burnt.

Hiriyana kashyapa said that God is nowhere. He also had a promise that he can never die in night or in the morning , no man or woman could kill him. Not in the house or outside the house. Suddenly a man came out from a pillar who was a lion, a man. Its name was NARSINGHE. He took him to the gate and afraid of being killed he said that I cannot be killed in the house or outside the house. Then it said that this is a gate which not in the house or outside the house. He then was killed. This is the reason why people celebrate Holi.

People of all ages play Holi. . Children enjoy this the most and start playing it one week ago. Children play with pichkaris, throw water balloons on each other, and throw water on each other. Holi is one of the brightest and enjoying festival.

My world cup victory

My world cup victory

We all team members decided to play a world cup series. Only 2 players can play in a team. It will be only of 4 overs. I was with Nayaab bhaiya.Our team was New Zealand. The other teams were Australia,India, South Africa, Sri Lanka, England. My first match was with Australia we lost that match by 7 runs Our next match was with India we batted first and won the match. Next match was with South Africa. We gave them a tough fight and won the match. As every team needed to win 3 out of 5 matches.The next two matches we lost. Then there was match between India and Australia. The loser of that match will play with us. Our match was with Australia. We tied that match. We decided to play another match. Next match we won the game. We have qualified for the quarter finals. Our first match was with England. We lost that match. Next match we won. We qualified for the semi finals because Sri Lanka was out of the competition. We won the semi finals against India. On the other hand South Africa has won. The final match was between New Zealand and South Africa. We batted first and scored 21 runs. They needed just 22 runs to win. We still won the game by 2 runs. I was very happy. In this way I won the world cup

World cup matches of India 2011India v/s South Africa India has won the toss and elected to bat first. Sehwag was on fire. Sehwag scored 73 of 66 balls. Sachin and Gambhir built a partnership of 125 runs. Sachin scored his hundred. 

The mistake they have done was that they have taken the batting power play in the 40th over only. First Sachin was out and then Gambhir. Yusuf scored just 1 run. Yuvraj scored just 12.India has scored 298all out.

 The first wicket had fallen. Now it was the batting of South Africa. They were off to a good start. The first wicket had fallen on 41. Kallis and Amla were playing really great. The second wicket was of Amla. AB De Villiers and Kallis scored some runs. De Villiers was also out.  Faf du Plessis was playing like a wall. On the other hand the wickets were falling. Peterson and Faf du Plessis made the last winning runs2 runs. India scored 298 all out. They were unable to play 50 overs.

 The man of the match was Dale Steyn for taking India’s 5 crucial wickets.
